What It Is
El Caminito del Rey is a spectacular elevated walkway (boardwalk) through the gorge of Desfiladero de los Gaitanes. It’s a linear hiking route with cliffside paths, suspension bridges, spectacular views, and historic infrastructure. The walk is one-way: the standard route begins in the north (Ardales) and ends in the south (El Chorro, Álora). Safety gear (helmet) is provided.

Distances: ~57.7 km from Málaga city; about 6 km from the Ardales road junction
⏰ Opening Times & Seasonal Hours
Open Tuesday through Sunday; closed on Mondays (with exceptions on certain “special” Mondays).
Also closed on 24, 25, 31 December and 1 January.
Summer season (approx late March to late October): 9:30 AM – 5:00 PM
Winter season (approx late October to late March): 9:30 AM – 3:00 PM
